Contractors Compensation

An Independent Contractor means that you work for yourself and agree to transcribe a minimum amount of lines, also known as line count. The minimum line count in your contract is measured in amount of lines per week. The time you choose to perform this work is up to you, but we do offer shift differentials.

Compensation Cycles:

Compensation cycles are every two weeks with the payday occuring on Friday of the following week. For example, if the pay period is 06/16/07 through 06/29/07, the date paid would be 07/06/07. The 7-day period between each 2-week cycle is used to generate the compensation report, process the report, and cut checks.

Line Count

The line count is determined by dividing the character count (number of characters you transcribed) by 65. Spaces are not included. You are then paid a rate per line, stated in your contract.

Shift Differentials

Shift differentials mean we pay you more for working during 2nd and 3rd shift. This amount depends on your experience and skill level.
